Los vehículos híbridos enchufables y los eléctricos de batería comparten una característica: grandes bloques de baterías. Su elevado peso implica una distribución diferente de las estructuras de carga en comparación con los vehículos de combustión. Este piloto analiza su efecto en colisiones reales.

 


English layman's summary:

Plug-in hybrid vehicles and battery electric vehicles share a characteristic: large battery packs. The weight of those batteries implies a different distribution of load-bearing structures compared to combustion vehicles. This pilot analyses its effect on real-world collision data in Spain.
